This 2day experimental drawing, portraiture workshop is designed for the beginner and the creative practitioner who would like to explore and experience portraiture through a variety of abstract ideas and experimental drawing techniques. In a supportive environment the process of drawing portraits will focus on authorship using a range of mark-making methods that employ traditional wet and dry drawing materials. The class structure is interactive and all students are encouraged to suspend their ideas on what traditional portraiture is - to what it can be.
This 2day Still Life in Abstraction painting workshop is designed for the beginner and the creative practitioner to explore the possibilities of Still Life painting using everyday objects and abstract ideas to construct and create individual works of art. In a supportive environment the student will experience a range of traditional and non-traditional materials and painting techniques that will help develop an understanding of spatial and colour relationships. The class structure is interactive and all students are encouraged to suspend their ideas on what still life painting is in favour of what it can become.
